Daniel has lived in Northwest Arkansas since his teen years where he has experienced first-hand the tremendous growth in this region. Daniel began working in the construction industry with his father at an early age. He also served our great nation in the US Army for nearly a decade before establishing DC Sparks Construction in 2011. With more than 20 years of experience, Daniel has the knowledge and expertise to bring any size project to life. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoys twisting wrenches, hunting, ATV’s and spending time with family.

Melody Sparks

Melody brings more than 20 years of business experience to her role at DC Sparks Construction including customer service, logistics, data analysis and office management. She made the jump into construction in 2016 after spending several years helping out from the sidelines. With her education in business management, Melody has helped to streamline office processes and implement marketing strategies to grow the company. She enjoys traveling, the outdoors, exercising, reading and spending time with family and her fur babies.

Mike Petrie

Mike grew up in New England. He began working in the field as a farmer at the age of 11. By age 22 he had learned many skills such as work scheduling, repair work, and equipment operator. Mike chose to bypass college and go to work. His first construction field job was working for a steel & concrete company focused on pre-engineered buildings, bridges & heavy concrete work. Mike moved to NWA in 2004, starting his first position as a field superintendent. With over 20 years of construction experience, he continues to grow and learn within the construction industry. Mike holds certifications as an equipment operator, OSHA 10, OSHA 30, and CPR/First Aid. In his free time, Mike enjoys spending time with his wife Shelly outdoors.

Jeremy Austin

Estimator

Jeremy has been a Project Manager for DC Sparks Construction since September 2017. He is responsible for the daily supervision of numerous commercial construction projects and has been instrumental in streamlining project deadlines, creating company policies and procedures, and implementing comprehensive training. Jeremy has almost thirty years of experience as an Audio Engineer and A/V Technician and has led and supervised teams on large-scale commercial installation projects consisting of a wide scope of work and demanding deadlines. For over a decade he was a police officer, international police advisor and protection specialist. In these roles he had to display excellent interpersonal relations skills and how to handle stressful situations while remaining calm and respectful. These skills are also what makes him an asset to the team. Jeremy is passionate about music and has served as a Consulting Audio Engineer/Assistant Production Manager for numerous national touring acts. Jeremy is a respected DJ, having toured the United States, and has DJ’d in several countries.

Whitney Gorman

Business Development Officer

Northwest Arkansas has been home to Whitney since 2000. She has loved watching this area continue to grow and thrive over the last two decades. With over five years of experience combined in the real estate/construction industry and over six years of experience in business development, her work experience provides a knowledgeable and unique perspective on how to make a positive impact in the community. Whitney has been a Springdale Chamber of Commerce Ambassador since 2018. From ribbon cuttings to groundbreakings, and a host of official functions, the Chamber’s Ambassadors are the city’s official hosts. Whitney takes pride in building strong relationships and focusing on the client’s needs. She is passionate about creativity in the workplace and enjoys helping people find solutions to their business challenges. She looks forward to her continued role in contributing to the economic growth and prosperity in Northwest Arkansas.

Arien Harp

Arien began her career in property management over 12 years ago where she gained valuable knowledge and insight on all aspects of development and renovation. Since then, she has continued her education and obtained her Arkansas Real Estate license. In March 2019 she joined DC Sparks Construction as the Office Manager. Originally from Minnesota, Arien now calls Northwest Arkansas home, where she enjoys the farm life with her husband and animals. When she’s not in the office, Arien can be found outdoors. She also is an avid hobbyist and is always creating unique items. She appreciates the opportunity to improve the lives of those in her community in whatever small way she can.

Keri has been a part of the construction industry for over 18 years with extensive Educational, Hospitality and Healthcare project portfolios. She began her career in 2000 as a Purchasing Agent for a structural steel fabricator and evolved into positions including: Plan Management, Project Coordinator, Assistant, Project Manager, Estimator and Project Management. She values success and always fosters a team environment. Keri’s vast experience provides her with the knowledge to be a successful team leader, extremely resourceful and dependable, always providing clear direction while keeping to the goal. She is an organized, detail-oriented professional with excellent technical and communication skills. Keri has a pleasant demeanor and will always put in the extra effort to make sure her team and clients achieve a positive outcome. Outside of work, Keri enjoys live music, the great outdoors and spending time with her family.

Tony graduated as an Electronic Technician from a 2-year technical college in New Jersey just out of high school. He relocated to California a year later, where he met his wife Judie. Over the years, Tony has held positions as Project Manager and Owner Representative in wholesale distribution focused on the technology side of commercial construction. Since 2011, he has been focused on Business Development, Marketing, and Brand Building. In 1996, Tony received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems and continued on to complete his MBA three years later. He also holds a master’s in Project Management and Information Systems Technology Management and certification in Lean Six Sigma Project Management.

Jon Bragg

Jon’s construction career started at the early age of 13 alongside his father. He picked up many skills including painting, trim carpentry, tile and equipment operator. Jon’s desire to continue seeking out new skills led him to DC Sparks Construction. Through hard work and dedication Jon has moved from a Construction Hand to a job Superintendent. He looks forward to continuing his career growth and learning more about Construction Management.

Jeff Berryhill

Superintendent

Jeff has been with DC Sparks Construction since 2017 and has worked in the construction industry for 15 years as a pipe welder and carpenter. He grew up in northeastern Oklahoma and when he left school in 1991 Jeff went to a trade school for pipe welding. He traveled as a pipe welder for 12 years working on power house, refineries and nuclear power houses. In 2003 Jeff retired from welding and moved his family to Missouri. For the next 11 years Jeff had a career in law enforcement and retired as a Sargent over patrol. Jeff is an avid outdoors man and prefers to be outdoors when he isn’t working.

Miguel Sandoval

At the age of 15, he started working in construction and learning how to operate heavy equipment. Miguel fell in love with construction and committed to this career path. He also has experience with welding and spray foam insulation. Miguel started working at DC Sparks Construction in April of 2019 and enjoys working within his team, completing projects and continuing to increase his construction knowledge each day. While not working, he enjoys spending time with his family and hunting and fishing in the great outdoors.
